My friend and I were talking about what we thought about the internet provider in this area. We were both of the opinion that Irvine does a great job and we would recommend the service to anyone. However, we were both skeptical about the reliability of their service. This was the first time ever we had any experience with the internet provider.
When you give your phone number over to the internet provider, you are essentially giving them your username and password. If their system is in place, it only takes a few seconds for the phone to ring and you get an e-mail notification. When in doubt, we would just send the phone number to the internet provider.
The company had a service agreement that stated there were “no bugs, viruses or other harmful components” that the provider was supposed to look out for. However, the number of times that we’ve sent the phone number to the internet provider is over and over again. We’ve sent it four times and that’s with their system in place. After that, it’s a constant series of three rings and the phone is answered by a person who sounds like they’ve been with them for years.
This is a new provider, one that seems to be better than the last one. It took a month to get service at our previous location, and now we can expect it to be at least three times as fast. They recently took out a few of the older lines as well, which is a good thing.

The internet connection at our location is a small one, so they’ve done a great job with the speed upgrades. Also, their network is open to everyone, which isn’t something I’ve seen before.
The internet provider that was originally in charge of our service has been replaced by a new company, which is good because the previous one is the one that was the most expensive. It also means that we can expect to pay more for internet connection, which could be a concern.
The new provider is a good thing, though I don’t know if it’s quite as good as the old one. Some of the other internet speed upgrades have been pretty disappointing, like the one in which they said they would charge us $100 for a monthly connection fee. I believe this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. It’s annoying that they could have had the service cheaper.
The provider I selected is irvine.net, and they offer the same speeds and bandwidth as the old provider, but with more value.
